  • Included Membership: These plans automatically include BKV Energy Plus at no extra cost, providing access to the Reduce Your Rate program and annual loyalty payouts.

  • Stable Pricing: These plans feature a fixed energy charge that does not fluctuate with market conditions.

  • Renewable Options: Bluebonnet plans are available with either 29% or 100% renewable energy, depending on the plan selected.

  • No Gimmicks: Bluebonnet plans are designed without base charges, usage fees, or common pricing gimmicks. 

• The Lantana Series (Essential Savings): The Lantana series is designed for households seeking straightforward fixed-rate electricity plans without built-in membership fees.

  • Streamlined Structure: These plans prioritize a lower cost per kilowatt-hour. While they do not include the BKV Energy Plus suite by default, customers can choose to add the subscription separately.

  • Standard Renewable Mix: Base Lantana plans start at 29% renewable content, while Lantana Green provides a 100% renewable energy match.

  • Term Flexibility: Lantana contracts are frequently available in 12, 15, and 24 month durations to accommodate different lease and homeownership cycles.

  • No Administrative Fees: These plans are specifically structured with no provider fees and no minimum usage fees. Your monthly bill is primarily based on your electricity usage, the plan’s energy charge, regulated Transmission and Distribution Utility (TDU) delivery charges, and applicable taxes and fees. 

  • Versatile Terms: Daisy plans often offer the widest range of contract lengths, sometimes starting as low as 3 months for those in short-term living situations.

• Renewable Energy and Sustainability: BKV Energy provides a “Selectable Green” model for its plans. While their standard terms automatically feature approximately 29% renewable content to reflect the current statewide average system fuel mix on the Texas grid, customers have the explicit choice to upgrade their plan to 100% Green. Selecting a 100% green tier ensures BKV Energy offsets your entire household power consumption by purchasing and retiring matching Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) from Texas wind and solar farms on your behalf.

• Default Variable Rate Transition: BKV does not offer a standard month-to-month variable plan for new signups. However, if a customer reaches the end of their fixed term without renewing or switching, they are automatically transitioned to a month-to-month variable rate. These default rates are subject to change monthly based on market conditions and are typically higher than fixed-rate offers.

• 30 Day Power Pilot: This is BKV’s satisfaction guarantee. New customers on any Bluebonnet plan, or those who subscribe to BKV Energy Plus on a Lantana or Daisy plan, can terminate their agreement within the first 30 days of service without incurring an early termination fee. This “risk-free” window allows you to monitor your first full billing cycle before committing to a long-term contract.
